This family came to me after acquiring a brownstone in the middle of bustling Midtown NYC. It needed a total renovation to turn it into a true retreat from the busy life outside their front door.
After months of renovating down to the century-old studs, it was time to layer on the last design details. The style choices we made played off the historical provenance of the brownstone while bringing it into present day with a calming color palette and elevated design.

Resin and glass vases stand out against the beautiful decorative textured paint treatment on the dining room walls. The soft color palette extends throughout the home.

Robin chose a round table for the square dining room to play up the shape of the space. The fireplace’s marble mantel is original to the house.

Robin used the same velvet in different colors to upholster the dining chairs. The soft teal and gentle olive green play off each other while the wool-and-silk Tibetan-weave rug ties the room together.

This corner of the living room offers additional seating when needed, added dimension for the space when it’s not.

The combination of a celadon green and neutral color palette gives the master sitting room a serene, calming vibe.
